The Indian Premier League (IPL) is known for its excitement and allure each season. After several years, fans will witness the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) competing in the finals. Following RCB's advancement to the final, the chant 'Ee Sala Cup Namde' (This year, the cup is ours) has resurfaced with enthusiasm.
For the past 17 years, RCB has been one of the most beloved teams in the league. However, it remains one of the few teams that has yet to secure a title. Many believe that RCB's victory is just a matter of time. In 2016, RCB also reached the finals but fell short against Sunrisers Hyderabad, led by David Warner, in a match that could have easily gone in their favor.
It is noteworthy that RCB has fought for the championship title three times so far. This Tuesday, they will face Punjab Kings in their fourth attempt at the finals. Punjab's best performance came in 2017 when they finished fifth under the captaincy of Glenn Maxwell and coaching of Virender Sehwag.
Currently, the teams that have yet to lift the IPL trophy include Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Delhi Capitals. However, this statistic may change today as both Punjab Kings and RCB have another opportunity to claim the championship title.
